CAUGHT IN A TRAP Signs With NO JOKE RECORDS

Queens, New York's CAUGHT IN A TRAP has inked a deal with Los Angeles hardcore label No Joke Records. The four-piece is putting the finishing touches on its debut effort, tentatively due in March 2007. The CD is being produced by legendary hardcore producer Don Fury, who has worked with such hardcore heavyweights as AGNOSTIC FRONT, MADBALL and SICK OF IT ALL.

CAUGHT IN A TRAP was spawn into the New York hardcore scene in 2004. The guys released their first demo in 2005 that quickly caught the ears of No Joke Records, which included them on their "Hardcore at the Shore: 2006" compilation. Between their ever-growing fan base and the positive reception to their song "Two Faced" on the compilation, the band was quickly signed and is "ready to re-invent New York hardcore in 2007," according to a press release. The band mixes old- and new-school hardcore with a heavy punk rock edge that will appeal to fans of MADBALL, AGNOSTIC FRONT and H2O.

CAUGHT IN A TRAP is planning a full U.S. tour for 2007 and are currently playing shows in the tri-state area (NY, NJ, CT) in preparation for their debut release.
